On December 27, a Research School seminar was held at the General Physics Department. The seminar was a part of the Publication Club project. At the seminar, Masters program students presented their reports on current literature and on their research work.
On November 16, Head of the General Physics Department and Head of the Laser Physics Research School Michael Bakunov and UNN Rector Evgeny Chuprunov took part in the family program "I am Daddy" on the Mayak Radio. The topic of the one-hour conversation was “Laser Physics”. The scientists discussed with the presenter the history of lasers and tried to explain the principle of laser operation to radio listeners in a simple and easily understandable language, and also talked about the features of the radiation generated by this wonderful device.

On October 8, graduates of the PhD school in natural sciences were awarded diplomas during a ceremony at the UNN Assembly Hall. A diploma certifying the completion of postgraduate studies as the third stage of higher professional education was awarded to Alexander Shugurov, a student of our Laser Physics research school.
