Research School accepts PhD students enrolled in the specialty 01.04.21 – laser physics and MSc students involved in laser physics research.
Enrollment to the Research School is regulated by resolutions of the Scientific Advisory Council and is based upon competitive selection.
To enter the competitive selection process, MSc students and PhD students are required to submit a list of publications and their supervisor’s recommendation to the Secretary of the Scientific Advisory Council.
The criterion for the competitive selection is the number of points scored for the following items:
a paper published in a refereed journal with impact factor (ISI) 1 and above – 3 points;
a paper published in other refereed journals – 2 points;
a paper published in abstracts or conference proceedings – 1 point;
an “excellent” grade at the entrance examination in the speciality subject – 3 points;
a “good” grade at the entrance examination in the speciality subject – 1 point.
