On December 13, a ceremony for presenting scholarships of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region took place in the House of Scientists. PhD students Sergey Sychugin and Alexander Romanov became the winners of the scholarship named after Academician G.A. Razuvaev for PhD students.

On November 10, 2017, a seminar of Ksenia Baryshnikova (ITMO, St.Petersburg) on the topic "Multipole Analysis of the Effects of Light Interaction with Nanostructures of Different Forms" was held at the Department of General Physics. Research School students  took an active part in the seminar.

On October 23, the students of the "Laser Physics" Research School, members of the Nizhny Novgorod SPIE Student Chapter, met with 3rd-year students of the UNN Radiophysics Faculty.
